The Unofficial Official Sock of the Lincoln Scene

The New

The Not So New

Admittedly, that's a bit over the top. However, one thing was pretty clear during the Lincoln CX weekend, a great number of Nebraska riders have supported the double-headed eagle by purchasing some wool goodness.

To all of you, Sam and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you. It means a great deal and truly helps in the build to becoming a bit more than a 'clothing company.' Thanks a lot to each and every one of you.

On that note, a few have you may have noticed a very slow guy putzing around on a pink single speed on Sunday flashing an new color scheme of War Axe wool. We've added an inch and gone trendy with light blue on brown wool, to go along with our white on black and red on dark grey color palette. Two sizes fit most. S/M and L/XL.

We will get these in Nate's hands shortly. For those of you out of town or feeling internet savvy, I've also added the option of using PayPal below.

Thanks again, Sam and Skip.

Warming Up Leftovers

Jeff models the front and I take the back and bibs
Sam and I found that the bike lounge still housed a few random pieces of War Axe kit. If you're in need, or want, for a bib or jersey and want to fly the double headed eagle, send me an email at endurosnob at hotmail dot com and stake your claim. We even have a few knickers for cross season.

There's no secret handshake or IQ prerequisite, just send us a note. Here's what sitting in the lounge. I'll keep this updated as people pick them up.

Measure Twice, Cut Once

The number of kind-hearted questions Sam and I receive on a weekly basis is both appreciated and welcome (even the ones asked in the middle of a race). What we appreciate more is the understanding people have when we tell them, "not yet, but it's coming."

That said, we're pretty excited about what the near future holds.

Sam will be taking an internship with none other than Steve Potts this fall. For those of you familar with the history of the mountain bike, that likely says it all. If not, please explore Steve's site and plug his name into your favorite search engine. You'll be glad you did. We also need to thank Nate Woodman for helping take the opportunity from idea to event.

In addition, Sam is finishing a handful of forks which should be rolling through various parts of Nebraska and Colorado soon. We'll get you some photos once they're ready for cyber space.

We will also continue our effort to remain solidly known as 'only a clothing company' by offering t-shirts of both the technical and casual variety in the fall.

Not Just Clothing

Sam and I have been joking that War Axe is really just a clothing company. I guess we're going to need to find new material for our comedy routine.

Little By Little

Thanks to our friends at Trek-Omaha, War Axe has taken another small step becoming something larger than a bread basket or baby's arm. MOD gave the word on MTB Omaha in his post, Back to Basics.
It's like were taking this seriously, isn't it?

We're happy to announce that Monkey Wrench is now stocking War Axe socks. Why deal with the postal service when you can stop in and see Nate and Eric? Word.
